Begin with the end in mind

Habit 1: “Be proactive.” tells us that we are the driver of our life.
Habit 2: “Begin with the end in mind” teaches us that if we are the driver of our life, we must map out the end destination.
To emphasize the importance of beginning with an end in mind, learners were divided into 2 groups. One set of groups was given a puzzle without the finished picture, let’s call them the blind group for now, and another group was given a puzzle with a finished picture to use as a reference, let’s refer to them as the light group.
The blind group couldn’t finish the puzzle within the time-bound, but the light group finished putting the pieces together within the first 2 minutes.
As we can see, it is so convenient to finish the puzzle if we have a final product as a reference, we can tally the pieces and evaluate the result. Similarly, in life, it will be so much easier to go where we want to if we KNOW where we want to go. Without a destination, a journey is meaningless.
